Santa Pictures!

We had a ward party on Wednesday and the kids got to see the "REAL" Santa! Mekayla has seen so many Santas that she is starting to ask who the real santa is! I wonder how long it is going to be before she knows the truth about him! Dallin just sat there and wouldn't smile! But we did get his engagement picture taken with his girlfriend Savannah! Her parents have them basically engaged already and say they'll pay for his college tuition to be a doctor! We're going to hold them to it! Anyway, enjoy the pics!

Tepaynga's New Hair

Tepaynga just had a friend get a haircut and decided that she wanted hers cut too, so yesterday she asked me to cut it. Besides the fact her friend got her cut, Mekayla decided she would cut her sisters hair a couple weeks ago and it was just getting on my nerves with the different lengths and jagged bangs. Her bangs are shorter than I'd like for that reason! She likes it and thinks she is so beautiful! She looks really cute, but it's going to take a while to get used to seeing her with short hair. What do you think?

Cute Kid!

I just had to show how big our little boy is getting! Look at those rolls! Mom & Dad got him this tow truck outfit, so I had to take a picture of him in it to show him off! He's getting big enough to kind of sit up on his own, so we've stuck him in the high chair every now and then to be with us in the kitchen! He loves it, but looks so tiny! He's getting to be so much fun, he smiles and interacts with toys and with people now! It's so fun to see the changes my kids are going through, but sad because they are growing up too fast!

Mekayla's first ice skating lesson!

Mekayla had her first ice skating lesson on Mon. Nov. 26th! She did great and was the best one out there! We were proud of her and she had a blast!

More Thanksgiving Weekend!

As you can see, we brought our dog Purdy on the family outing! Brett had to help her get up with them too because she kept circleing the rock trying to figure how to get up herself! I did end up going up the big rock too, but there are no pictures of me like usual because I took all the pictures! We actually meant to take more with me in it, but forgot the camera one time we went out hiking and ended up seeing a doe and a fawn (deer) down by one of the lakes! So yes basically we were nuts going hiking and climbing the end of November when it was 29 degrees outside, but hey, we had fun! It was Dallin's first big outdoor outing!! He was in the front pack and slept through most of it!

Thanksgiving Weekend!

We decided to get out of the hustle and bustle of shopping and go into the wilderness of Dry Falls. There ended up not being very much hiking for us to do like we had planned, but it was fun. Even if it did start snowing when we were out there. We decided to climb instead. The kids had a blast climbing (by kids I mean Brett included!!). Tepaynga would climb a foot rock and say "Yeah look at me I did it!!" She cracked us up! Mekayla was all no fear and would run to the next rock. Brett had to teach her a few safety tips, if the rock is bigger than you, you have to wait for mom or dad to help! She's a great climber and was pretty careful finding foot holdings! It really pleased her dad to know he's raising kids as adventurous as he was and still is! I just had to look away a few times and gave Brett a few "looks" of be careful please!

Halloween Pictures!

I forgot to put our pictures from Halloween on here! These are some of them! I didn't take many of the girls, but Dallin was just too cute and funny that I took quite a few. Well, I took as many as my full card would allow! I sent his picture to a lot of people on their phones, so you may have seen him already! When we were outside, we had him squeezed into his snowsuit under his jersey and he could hardly move! It made him look like he was wearing football pads!! We went trick-or-treating to the downtown businesses of Moses Lake and then we went to the trunk-or-treat at the church and also ate dinner there! Brett and I won the cutest couple because we threw on our Steelers jerseys and put paint under our eyes. I thought there were others who were cuter, but oh well, we won a $5 gift certificate to McDonalds! Wow! The kids had a great time and they are still eating their candy!

Yeh, I finally got the computer!

Well, I finally got a chance to get on the computer. Brett's been pretty busy with his classes and was out of town with the laptop for a week, so I'm finally getting a chance to update our blog. We've been pretty busy with everything. We had our first parent-teacher conference with Mekayla's teacher last week and it was so fun to see how much she is excelling. She had to take a math test the beginning of the year and the average is 9-10% and Mekayla got a 72%!! We are so proud of her! She is also in the top reading group of her class and her teacher is constantly coming up with new things for her to do. She is a real helper and her teacher only has to tell her how to do things once. Her teacher uses her as an example for the kids to see how to do things. She will be started on the accellerated reading program in January and her teacher is of course real pleased with her! Tepaynga is starting to pick up on little words her sister is learning! I can't believe what an observer she is! She amazes me with her big words and grown up language she uses! Dallin is now 2 months old and at his appointment was 13lbs. 23in. and growning. He's in the 75% for his height and weight. He reminds me of the way Mekayla grew. She was always in the 80-95% for her height and weight. Tepaynga was usually at the 50%-average at most of her appointments. Brett's been working in North Spokane for the last week and will be there some of next week as well. They are building a house over there with his job. He really enjoys it, but he came home sick last night. There was only one sick guy when they left and they all came back feeling sick yesterday! I was teasing him about kissing, but then that's just gross. We had a girl's night out + Dallin with one of my girlfriends the other night! We had dinner and rented a movie for us and one for all the kids! I'd forgotten how much fun it is to be with the girls and get out for a night! We'll do it again soon! I can't wait to live closer to my sister-in-laws and mom to be able to do things with them! I was really close to going to Utah this past week, but chose to save money and be responsible and have Mekayla go to school and both the girls to dance. They are in the process of learning their new dances for the recital in the spring and they are cute already! Tepaynga is going to be a "Pinnapple Princess" and dress up like a hula girl somehow! It's so cute! I'm not sure what Mekayla's dance is called, but the moves are cute and she gets to dance with a chair. Long time, no post

Okay, I'm going to try to update this weekly if possible! We're doing good! Dallin at his last visit to the doctor was 10 lbs. 9 oz. with his diaper and socks on! He's getting chunky and you can tell that he's a good eater! He gets to go visit Mekayla's Kindergarten class today! Mekayla has been dying to have him for show and tell ever since he was born! I can't believe that Dallin will be 6 wks. old on Thursday! Where has the time gone? He's getting blessed this weekend and we're so excited that my family will be coming up for the weekend! I just hope his blessing outfit gets here in time! We got a shipment from the company I ordered it from on Friday, but it wasn't our order and naturally they we closed for the weekend. I called this morning and they said that it would be here in time! All I can say is that it better be! This is a picture of the one we ordered for him! Isn't it cute! It's getting more natural going places with three kids for me, but Brett still has a hard time remembering that we have to get Dallin out whenever we go somewhere! He's getting better! Brett just got a new calling in our ward! We had to sweat it out for a night when we got a call to come in and see the Stake President before our ward conference. We were trying to figure out all the options of what it could be. He ended up being called to serve as the 1st counselor in the Elder's Quorum! He's excited, yet a little stressed because of all he has on his plate right now with work, WSU online, family, and now a big calling to boot! He's also got to do some work on our house before winter sets in! He's going to be busy! Any volunteers? He can make it work somehow! I'm going to try to put pictures on, so we'll see if that happens this time or next time! Wish me good luck!

Can't figure this out!

Sorry about the no pictures last time, I'm new at this and couldn't figure it out, so here we go again! Here's some pictures of when he was born up until Mom left and I'll post more recent ones later! Dallin is now 9 lbs. and 22 3/4 in. long. He's growing fast for only being 3 wks. old!

Our Cute Little Boy!

Dallin Brett Hellewell was born September 6, 2007 @ 8:02 a.m. in Moses Lake, WA. He was 8 lbs. 3 oz. and 20 in. long. I was in labor with him for over 19 hours and was very exhausted and excited when he finally decided to join us. His cord, we found out, was very short and that is why he had a hard time getting here because he kept getting pulled back up and therefore not making me dialate. He has two very proud sisters and they have yet to keep their hands off of him. I can't believe that he will be two weeks old tomorrow. Here are some pictures we've taken so far.
