Wow! Time Flies!

We now have a 7 year old in our family and it is the end of 2008 wow! We had a relaxed Christmas at our apartment. We hope you all enjoyed yours as much as we have! We stayed here in Logan due to Brett's work schedule! It was weird not being around tons of family, but it was also nice to be able to just relax and not rush to do other things! Anyway, I hope to post some pictures soon, but just thought we'd say yes we are still doing okay and Dallin is busy terrorizing our house. He's a ton of fun right now and keeps me going constantly! Boys are definately a handful and a joy to have! We also have a new niece from my Brother Curtis and his wife Jen. We are way excited for them and their first addition to their family! We hope to see her some time this weekend! We love you all and I'll try harder to keep things more updated!

Halloween Pictures

Our kids were sooo cute for Halloween and sooo excited to dress up. Well Dallin wasn't, he hated his costume and wanted it off! He like playing with it, but hated it on! This year was the first year the girls have been something scary rather than cutsie! Mekayla was a Sorceress and Tepaynga was a "twisty witch"! As you can see Dallin was Tigger as is the tradition of our kid's halloween closest to their 1st birthday. They had a good time and we are still eating candy!

Outdoors in the fall!

We had fun going up Logan canyon and Green Canyon to go hiking have a campfire in October and early November. The kids loved it! On the hike to the cave, I realized how out of shape I am because we didn't go hiking all summer because of Brett's ankle! It was a beautiful view and we were very impressed that the kids made it! We got finished and read the sign by it and it said it was rated a very difficult hike and it was about 4 miles! We accomplished it with three kids, yeah! What a cute adventurous family we are!!!

Our latest Adventures

We visited a awesome park here in Logan and the kids had a great time playing in the lemonade stand. As you can tell, Dallin had a hard time looking at me, he was too interested in the girls around him already! They had a good time can you tell? It was hard to get them to leave! It was nice having to go to our friends house for dinner, it helped get them away from this kids haven!

Haunted Gingerbread Houses!

So for Young Women's a couple of

weeks ago we made some haunted gingerbread houses out of graham crackers and the kids came until Brett got off of work. They were very disappointed that they didn't get to do one, so I brought home the opened leftovers and they had a blast making their own houses. They had a hard time eating them and ust picked at them until they were falling down and they are now on their way to the dump! But they had fun while they lasted!

Beater Time!

So Dallin was bugging me while I was cooking last week, so I gave him the beaters to the mashed potatoes and he loved it as you can see!

Our Big Boy!

So on Wednesday the 15th of October, our little baby grew up a little bit faster!
He took his very first steps on his OWN!!
YEAH! HE FINALLY DID IT!
He's been holding onto stuff for a long time now but hasn't ventured off on his own. The other day he walked in front of me from our bedroom clear out to the family room! I was so proud of him!
Brett keeps saying we are in trouble now, but I think he will be a lot happier now that he can do things on his own. But then that brings what kind of "things" he's doing on his own!

Our little TINK!

So Tepaynga is really into fairies right now. She wanted Tinkerbell on her birthday cake and loves going to the fairy's website to "make her own fairy"! Well I found a website that does a survey of what fairy you are most like and these are Tepaynga's results:

Make-up for lost time...

So we have a lot to catch up on! We've had two birthdays last month and no camera so we've had to do our pictures through our families' cameras! I hope we can get all of them to work for us!

Dallin turned one and is getting bigger every day! He is still not walking without help, but gets excited when he figures out he is standing up by himself! He so much fun!

Tepaynga had a birthday as well and is now 5 years old! I can't believe how fast she has seemed to grow up because she has been my little girl for so long! She got her ears pierced for her birthday and is loving being even more beautiful with her sparkly earrings! She keeps us laughing that's for sure!

The kids and I went to Monticello this last weekend! Mekayla didn't have school because of a teacher day and so we left after she got out of school on Thursday! We got there after 11:00 and the kids couldn't believe how dark it was outside! They love not having to travel for 2 days to get to Nana and Grandaddy's house! It it is a lot nicer to be able to go down for a weekend and not spend the whole trip driving!

We took a drive/4-wheeler trip up to Elk Ridge while we were there and ended up getting poured on! It was nice to be able to enjoy the beautiful colors and listen to Conference on the radio too! Dallin kept looking out the window and going "WHOA!" It was pretty cute! He does have a temper though! He threw a good 5 minute temper tamtrum to get out of the car when we were driving and then he was fine to sit there! Mekayla rode with mom and Dallin and I and while Tepaynga rode with Grandaddy, Curtis, Jen, and Yawny(the dog)! Mekayla enjoyed stopping as we went to pick the "Most Beautiful" leaves (One for her and one for her sister-she's so thoughful)! They made rubbings of them at nana's house! When Elder Oaks was talking, we had to pick an oak leaf to remember his talk!

We did a lot of canning and lots of eating apple things this last weekend too! We made applesauce-(wow, what a lot of work!) and dried apples and apple macaroon! It was fun to know we were doing it for our storage. Then we got them home and they came unsealed, so I'm going to have to get more lids and do it again! You win some and lose some!

We have a first grader!

Mekayla started 1st grade last week! Her teacher's name is Mrs. Goodrich. This is her teacher's first year teaching, so she is pretty young. Mekayla really likes her and is so eager to learn! Even though she says the homework every day is too easy! She is doing great and seems to be making quite a few friends-even though she claims she can't remember names yet! Her first day she didn't have a whole lot to say like she was quite overwhelmed or something, but she is pretty talkative these last few days and it seems like she is really enjoying herself! Tepaynga cried everyday last week that Mekayla went to school because her best friend was leaving everyday all week! She has found it hard to find others her same age here in the complex to play with during the day! She is getting better thought! Here is a picture of Mekayla's first day!
